Hi all. I am new to the message board and am here mostly because someone keeps mentioning it on the Yahoo group so I trotted on over. I'm wondering if anyone else is teaching "Jesus Once Was a Little Child" this month and if they have any grand ideas. I am fresh out of creativity. I think I need a nap...
Thanks. Heather

I'm teaching this song. I did it today, and I started by showing them some pictures of me and my husband as babies, then when we got married. I then showed them pictures of a SR. Primary teacher, as a baby, then when she went on her mission. Then I showed them pictures of Jesus as a child, and then Jesus as an adult blessing the children. I told them that they could grow up to be like Jesus too if we keep the commandments, and gain a testimony of our own now. Then I sang it for them while showing them the flip chart I made. I didn't want the kind of flip chart that has all the words on it. I prefer to have only key words that will help them remember the words. I sang it and had them tell me how many times we said the word try. Then I sang it again, and had them tell me what words they heard that describe Jesus (Meek, Mild, Pure, always told the truth). Then I sang it to them one phrase at a time, and had 1/2 the room echo that back to me, then the other half of the room had to echo it after that. It went really well I think.
