We are a newly formed ward with kids from 2-3 different primary's. I am new to the calling & don't know which songs the kids know. I find myself singing solos half the time! Any ideas for a type of review or something to find out what songs the kids already know? I found a great chart with all the songs listed that I can mark when they do know them, but ideas for finding that out without more solos from me would be great! Thanks!

Once a year, usually in January, I ask the kids to fill out a slip with their Name, Favorite Song, and their class (or age). Then I compile the list during the week and do a countdown of all of the favorites for the next week. For the younger classes, I ask the teacher to just fill it out during their class time if necessary. This list gives me something to start with, and I can use it for a backup when I need to add a song on the spot.

A list of the songs in the previous few years' Sacrement Meeting Presentations helps alot. You can find lists on this sight or on the church website under Primary.
