hi-this is my first attempt at asking all you wonderful ladies for help-but i need it. i have been the chorister for almost three years and this years change up with classes has left me with a very young junior sunday scholl and the past two weeks have been very challenging teaching, He sent his son. please share any ideas with me!!! jewels

We have quite a few young ones, too. It can be a challenge, but breaking it up seems to work best for us. For example, the first week we started teaching He Sent His Son went like this...
5 minutes - Go over words of the first two lines of the song. Use one or two pictures to reinforce ideas.
5 minutes - Sing fun songs like Head, Shoulders, Knees; Hinges; etc.
10 - minutes - Return to main song. Go over words again. Then divide children into two groups, one group to ask the "question" phrase of the song and the other group to "answer" using the next phrase of the song. Practice several times. Then add another line or two of the song as you have time and as the children have the attention. Usually the last time or two they sing the song, we have them stand up because they are getting wiggly.
