I've been doing Primary stuff off and on for 18 years and loving it! Currently I'm the Primary/Nursery Music leader in the Wiesbaden Germany Military Ward. One of our biggest challenges is turnover--about a third of the Ward moves in or out every year. And Father's Day is a sensitive time for our kids since some dads are always deployed, so we have to pick songs thoughtfully. I guess I'm all about the singing and not so much about elaborate visuals, although I like to spice it up occasionally. This group has been a real blessing and I love to hear about how Heavenly Father inspires each of us in this important calling!

Welcome Becky! My first stint as a Primary chorister was in the Stuttgart Military Ward, so I know what you're talking about (although that was pre-9/11 so we didn't have so many deployed dads as I'm sure you do now.)
I love the song Fathers for situations where there may not be a dad in the home for whatever reason. Because we all have other people in our life who can be a father to us.
(And suddenly I'm having this strange feeling that I might know you IRL from years ago at Fort Rucker...?)
