I was wondering if anyone had ideas for the 5th Sunday coming up? I like to do something different that I can bring back on the months there are 5 weeks. I could use a new idea for a game that maybe includes songs mixed with questions that would get the kids thinking and participating. Thanks much!

I have been thinking about doing kind of a whole "Price is Right" day using the punch out game and plinko anf the match game. . My presidency has asked me to take the whole time so there will be no sharing time so that should be enough to get througha couple games at least.

Well I am starting out by drawing names out of a hat and doing the whole "Jimmy come on down you are the next contestant on the song is right" thing just like the T.V. show then I am going to ask questions about the review songs that they can answer with a number, like how many words are in the whole song I lived in Heaven?, so the selection of each game player is similar. Then I have made a Plinko board and the punch out game where they punch throught the tissue paper and I am also doing the match game so each game player will play one of those games for the match game I am writing a scripture that goes with each review song on a card and then each song on the card the player will have 1 min to match each song to the scripture to see how many they get right. I am not exactly sure how I am going to do the plinko game yet. For the Punch out game I think I might divide the board in 2 sections and let them punch out one circle in each section one with the song in it to sing and the other with the way to sing the song. I am assuming this will probably take up the whole hour or at least I hope it will. If anyone has any better ways to make this work or anything to add on to it I would love to hear about it. Hope you all enjoy.

We played jeopardy this last week and it went over really well. It wasnt real jeopardy obviously because we didnt keep track of points (the "points" were more of a gauge to let the kids know how hard the questions were) and they didnt have to answer in the form of a question lol I did make a star badge for each kid after they went that said "I am a primary trivia superstar!" I was worried that the big kids would think they were lame, but they actually asked for the extras after primary. We had six categorys -ILIH, MEF, HFAF, Mother, I love you (song for mother's day,)The themes for the year, and the scriptures for the year. Then we had 100-600 points for each category. looking back Im kinda sad I didnt take a picture once it was all said and done because it really went over well with all the kids. They were begging for more and it gave me a great opportunity to find out where we were weak and where we were strong. Plus we got lots of practice singing the songs because when ever there was a wrong question we sang the song/verse that was applicable. I still have the questions i asked if anyone is interested.

We did a large puzzle on the blackboard. It was photocopied to be large and then it was cut out and laminated. Then small magnets were placed in the back (I didn't make it, but someone gave it to me!). On the back of each piece was a number. For each number, I listed "how" they were to sing My Eternal Family... opera style, while marching, whistling, etc. The kids loved it! It is a picture of Joseph Smith's family.
