A lot of it has to do with them REALLY knowing the songs, as well as the message that they are conveying... when they sing confidently the volume takes care of itself.

My friend in another ward said their chorister uses balloons. I tried it Sunday and they loved it. We practiced all our program songs and got them use to the balloons, if they sang the song loud the balloons when up, if not they didn't move. They loved seeing them go up and they sang their little hearts out. I told them that we would be using them on Sunday for our program. We will have someone in the overflow with the ballons and their goals was to send those balloons up so high they couldn't see them. They were excited about it.
