I played a fun little game with my senior primary kids today that they just loved. After a particularly stressful week I wasn't able to get the helps I wanted made for my singing time today so I was trying to come up with something early this morning and decided on this game. I told the kids we were going to play a game called "Then What". I explained that we would be singing all the verses to the song The Family is of God and while we were singing the pianist would just stop playing wherever she chose. At that point I would pull a name from our choosing can and that person would tell us "then what?" (which is obviously the next phrase for the song.) I know it sounds kind of lame but my kids all loved it and they participation so well. If one kid didn't know the next phrase I told him to choose carefully another friend who he thought would know the phrase. We were able to give everyone a chance to answer and the best part is I found out which parts of the song we didn't know as well as others. The kids didn't even realize we were singing the parts they were unfamiliar with over again and they were learning them.
