One of the things that is really nice about the yahoo group is the files section. I joined last year and I could go into the files section and see files that were added by people before I got there. If we use email, then new members would miss those. Do you know what I mean? "Could I Hold The Baby?" is a great example. And it was great that I could go and download the file instead of asking someone for it. Are there other options for files? I guess from my perspective it's the archiving of the files so that new members can find the great ideas and files too. I think this is great for organizing ideas and such. I know the idea is to email files. Are there other options that can be brainstormed out?

My plan is not to close the Yahoo Group or anything like that. It will still continue to be a resource for us, and of course we will keep the files section open. I am hoping to have the two formats work together.
This forum is going to be great though for those times when people say "email me if you want a copy of my XXX" though, because only the people who want the file will have to read through all the "me toos". It's also going to be better for new people who might have missed hearing the original offer when it came through.
It will not at all replace the uploaded files - however we only have 100 GB of space in the files and that fills up really really fast, so not all the things that people offer to share can get posted there.
Also, on this forum we have the ability to post a photo in a thread, so if you are just trying to show someone an image of what something looks like it can be right in the body of the message.
But please have no fear that the Yahoo Group or its file section will be going away!

I'm new to this and not part of the yahoo group apparently. How do you become part of the yahoo group in order to access archived files?

Thanks, Nicole. There's a brick structure that some of the choristers are using for HFAF, and everyone wants to know what it looks but they have to upload a file, and attaching a pic here would work great. Thanks for doing this. If you need any help, let me know.
Sheri.

Thanks Sheri! If you look under the "Welcome to Primusic" forum there's a thread called "how to post an image." Follow those directions. I tried to get the post to show up in this forum too but can't quite figure that out yet.
