An idea I'm planning to use for a combined singing/sharing time in August (there are 5 Sundays, but only 4 topics so the Presidency was very happy when I offered to do the 5th week). "Dress a Missionary" I'm going to have a Young Man who is leaving for college or (hopefully) a mission soon come in dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, and bare feet. I'll tell the kids how we have to help him get dressed like a missionary. Each of his articles of clothing (pants, white shirt, tie, suit coat, each sock, each shoe, and a Book of Mormon if needed) will have a song pinned or taped to them. I'm going to use the CSMP songs as a good way to review all of them. A child will choose an article of clothing and we'll sing the song. If the "missionary" thinks we sang it good enough, he will put on that article of clothing. We'll try to "dress the missionary" before our 40 minutes are up. I'm sure the older kids will be silly and choose the tie before the shirt, the shoes before the socks, etc, but I'm hoping to find a Young Man who will have fun and go with the flow. If anyone has other ideas, I'd love to hear them. My Presidency has asked if I want the extra week in March too, but this is the only idea I have and I want to use it after I've taught all the CSMP songs. Karma

For Sr Primary only - on the 5th week of the month have a little recital. We have some who play piano or will sing a solo. Each class also will sing a song together. The presidency sings together and maybe there is a child who is learning another instrument. We practice being a good audience and everyone enjoys participating.
