So many songs so little time. There are so many good choices for April that it was extremely difficult for me to choose one. This has been a topic for discussion in the Primusic group and every one that was mentioned i would say oh that would be a great one. Having said all this, I decided last summer when the programs first came out that I wanted to do "I Wonder When He Comes Again." This was the song the Holy Ghost used to comfort, sustain, and teach me when our baby died and I love to hear the children sing it.
I haven't figured out how to teach it yet. I think the first verse will be pretty straight forward with pictures but on the second verse I want to emphasize the things we need to do to be ready when Jesus comes and since we don't know when that will be we need to be ready all the time. the story of the 10 virgins would be a good resource. I also want them to feel how wonderful it will be to gather around Christ. 3 Nephi would be a good source to help them understand that feeling.
This is one of my favorite songs and I can't wait to share it with my children. Ellen Austin, Texas

For April we are planning on doing I Lived in Heaven, it was so hard to pick in Jan between The Family is of God and I Lived in Heaven that instead I Lived in Heaven became our April. We chose Beautiful Savior for the other song that we can pick later in the year. Beautiful Savior is one of my all time favorite songs. I remember singing it when I was around 10 or so in a stake primary choir. Before then I had never heard it before and the song and especially the message is wonderful. If there was going to be a third choice I would have probably picked I Wonder When He Comes Again as I also love that song.

We are teaching I Wonder When He Comes Again.
The other one we are doing is Child's Prayer. My PP felt strongly about this one.
I still have not figured out what to do for teaching it. I didn't realize how hard it was to teach when I picked it out.

I'm teaching both "He Died that We Might Live Again" and "Help Us, O God, to Understand" out of the Children's Songbook. They are both really short, so I felt I could teach two. They make great Easter songs, and they are so beautiful!
I don't think they are very well known, and I wanted to do something out of the CS rather than another one from the Friend.
*Edited Later* I finally got some handbells for my primary, so I think I'll be changing my plans to Hosanna (CS 66) and do the optional descant with the bells. My kids are going to love it.
